IVBAM
In July 2006, the Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Handicrafts Institute (IVBAM), was born of the merger between the Madeira Wine Institute (IVM) and the Madeira Embroidery, Tapestries and Handicrafts Institute (IBTAM).In a global market where competitiveness requires permanent investment in quality and promotion, without losing sight of the consolidation and growth sustained in the production of Madeira’s traditional products, it is important, on behalf of the efficiency of
public service and economy of means, to concentrate the promotion and advertising of these products under the competence of one agency, endowed with administrative and financial autonomy. In this sense, IVBAM seeks to continue with the policy of providing support to the Madeira Embroidery, Handicrafts, Wine and winemaking sectors in order to preserve all the capital of credibility achieved by the former institutes, IVM and IBTAM. Under its auspices it is worth mentioning the fact that this entity is responsible for the certificates of quality attributed to Madeira Embroidery and Wine. And it is the Agency responsible for the promotion and advertising of these regional products both in the domestic market and in the foreign market.
