Immagine Italia & Co Fair. February - 2010

Madeira embroidery will be present at the Immagine Italia & Co fair., dedicated to the home textile sector, set to take place in Florence, in the Fortezza da Basso, from the 5th to the 8th of February 2010.Immagine Italia is entirely dedicated to professionals and will be graced by the presence of many prestigious and renowned companies in the Italian and international textile sector.

Madeiran representation at this event is crucial to promoting Madeira embroidery in the Italian market. This presence is coordinated by the Instituto do Vinho, do Bordado e do Artesanato da Madeira, IP (Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Handicraft Institute - IVBAM), represented by Rita Galvão, Head of Promotion Division, jointly with representatives from two Madeira embroidery companies: João Eduardo de Sousa, Lda and Soebol-Exportador de Madeiran Embroidery Lda. As is customary, Madeira embroidery will be positioned in the luxury segment and will occupy 24m2. In addition to the Madeira embroidery pieces to be exhibited, the stand itself is decorated with Madeira embroidery applications, namely on cupboard doors and lamps.

 

For this event to have the greatest impact on its target audience, approximately 250 digital invitations were sent to potential buyers from an Italian textile sector database acquired by IVBAM in 2007.
This event is undertaken in the framework of the Projecto de Promoção do Bordado Madeira e do Artesanato Regional (Madeira Embroidery and Regional Handicraft Promotion Project) as part of the INTERVIR+ Programme, and arises following participation in last year's edition, when it became evident that this fair generates business opportunities, ultimately enhancing Madeira embroidery sales in the Italian market, as well as providing contact with the latest sector trends; i.e., everything pointing to the value of the renewed participation of Madeira embroidery in this event. Furthermore, the Italian market is the second largest market in terms of Madeira embroidery exports.
